Jason Baum

JASON BAUM is an award-winning filmmaker originally from Maui, Hawaii. He has produced for some of the most visionary directors of our time— Spike Jonze, Ava DuVernay, Donald Glover, Joey Soloway, Roman Coppola, and Hiro Murai. His latest feature film “It’s What’s Inside”, directed by Greg Jardin, will premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

His career started in music videos where he has made memorable visuals for Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Sia, Kendrick Lamar, and Arcade Fire. During that time, he also collaborated with the top creative commercial agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy, Leo Burnett, and 72andSunny; and for brands such as Instagram, Samsung, Nike, Verizon, and Starbucks.

He has been nominated for a Emmy and five Grammys, including a win for Kendrick Lamar’s music video for “HUMBLE.” Other distinctions include Cannes Lions, Clios, MTV VMAs, together with being official selections at Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. His work has over 5.45 billion views on YouTube and can be found on almost every major streaming platform including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+. A graduate of New York University’s Undergraduate Film Program, he is currently based in Los Angeles and works across the United States and internationally.

Hannah Grady Williams

Hannah Williams is an entrepreneur and founder of d'Skills, a startup that prepares high school students for careers in an AI-powered future. Hannah started her entrepreneurial journey at age 12 when her father had her close a real estate deal over the phone. She then enrolled in college at 14, graduating at 18 with a degree in international business.

Now at 25, Hannah has made it her mission to equip students with the skills, mindsets and real-world experience needed to thrive in the age of AI. Through d'Skills, motivated teens learn digital skills like coding as well as how to use AI tools, converting their knowledge into paid projects with small businesses. Hannah's goal is for students to graduate high school with robust portfolios and connections rivaling most college grads.

Conference Emcees

Chelsea Kau

Chelsea Kau, Marketing Strategy & Business Development at Sae Design Group. Born and raised on Maui, Chelsea Kau is a proud Baldwin Bear and STEMworks alumna. She attended the University of Portland in Oregon, and graduated in 2020 with a degree in Marketing, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation. During her time in STEMworks, Chelsea participated in FIRST LEGO League, Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, was a mentor for Excite Camp, competed at STEM Conference, and interned for the STEMworks Internship Program. Chelsea currently serves on the board for HP Baldwin High School’s Foundation, and regularly volunteers with the STEMworks program as an alumna and industry professional. She also serves as the Hawaiʻi Alumni Ambassador for the University of Portland’s Office of Admissions.

Jeffrey Ho

Jeffrey Ho, a Freshman attending Maui High School, has been a part of the MEDB and STEMworks programs on the island of Maui for an ongoing 6 years. Through these programs he has been able to learn many life skills such as, critical thinking, cooperation, involvement, respect, confidence, and many more skills. With these skills though came many different passions, some of which for the Robotics and Technology Industry. Through his passion he was able to strive in the Vex IQ Competitions in Hawaii even leading him and his teammates to place highly in multiple state championships which qualified them to the Vex IQ World Championship Competition in Dallas, Texas 5 times! Jeffrey is looking forward to transitioning his passion into his lifelong career through internships and even more learning opportunities. He is honored by the chance to speak with many of the great minded students and teachers here today, and would like to give thanks to everyone that helped him get here to such an amazing opportunity.

Anthony Francisco

Anthony is back by popular demand! Currently he is the Creative Director for Dolphin Entertainment, and Former Senior Visual Development Artist at Marvel Studios. He designed super heroes for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is best know for designing one of Marvel’s cutest characters, Baby Groot! Other iconic characters include Loki for Thor:Ragnarok, and the costumes for the Fora Milaje (Okoye and Nakia) for Black Panther. He has also worked on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War, Antman and the Wasp, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Doctor Strange, Antman, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, and Avengers: Endgame!
